LazyTools.io ("LazyTools", "we", "us", or "our") operates a collection of free, browser-based utility tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the minimal data we handle.

The short version: the majority of our tools run entirely inside your browser. Your input never leaves your device. We collect basic, anonymised analytics to understand how people use the site, and we serve ads through Google AdSense to keep the service free.

Data we collect

We collect a very limited amount of information to operate and improve the site.

Information you provide directly

LazyTools does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information unless you contact us voluntarily (for example, by sending a tool request to admin@excelguru.io).

Information collected automatically

When you visit LazyTools, certain technical information is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure and analytics provider. This may include:

Tool input data

A small number of tools (such as the Currency Converter) make outbound API calls to retrieve live data. These calls do not include any of your input — they only fetch publicly available data such as exchange rates.

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how visitors interact with LazyTools. This helps us understand which tools are most popular, identify technical issues, and improve the site. Google Analytics data is aggregated and does not allow us to identify individual users.

Data retention

Because LazyTools collects minimal data, our retention periods are straightforward:

• Tool input data: Not collected. Client-side tools process data locally and nothing is retained by us.
• Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymised. Retained for up to 26 months in Google Analytics before automatic deletion.
• Email correspondence: If you contact us at admin@excelguru.io, we retain your email for as long as necessary to respond to and resolve your request.
• Server logs: Standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) may be retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Request correction of any inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data where we have no legitimate reason to retain it.

Given that LazyTools collects very little personal data and processes no tool input on our servers, most of these rights will have limited practical application. However, we take them seriously and will respond to any request promptly.

LazyTools is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
