Transparency about data usage is central to everything LazyTools.io does. This page explains in plain language exactly what data exists, how it is handled, and why our architecture means your inputs never leave your device.
The Technical Reality: Client-Side Processing
Every tool on LazyTools.io is built using client-side technologies — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. When you use a tool, the calculation logic is downloaded to your browser and executed locally on your device. The result is computed on your machine and displayed in your browser. At no point does your input travel over the network to our servers.
This is not a policy choice alone — it is an architectural one. Because the tools run entirely in your browser, there is no technical mechanism by which your inputs could be captured even if we wanted to. The data simply never passes through our infrastructure.
What Data Touches Our Servers
When your browser requests a page on LazyTools.io, our web server receives and logs standard HTTP request information. This is unavoidable for any website on the internet and includes:
- Your IP address — used for security monitoring and geographic traffic analysis in aggregate
- Browser type and version — used for compatibility monitoring
- Referring URL — the page you visited before arriving at LazyTools
- Requested URL — which tool or page you loaded
- Timestamp of the request
This server log data is retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes and then deleted automatically. It is never sold, shared with advertising networks, or used to build individual user profiles.
Data We Never Receive
- Any value you type into a tool input field
- Any file you process — images, PDFs, or documents handled in-browser
- Any result or output generated by a tool
- Your name, email, or any personal identifier (unless you contact us voluntarily)
Contact Data
If you contact us at synth88labs@gmail.com, we retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, share your contact details with third parties, or use them for any other purpose.
Your Rights
Because we collect minimal data, exercising data rights is straightforward. To request deletion of any server-log data associated with your IP address, or any contact data you have submitted, email synth88labs@gmail.com. We will action your request within 30 days.
