🔌 Power Converter

Convert between watts, kilowatts, horsepower and BTU/h. Car engines, appliances and HVAC systems are rated in different power units — 1 hp = 745.7 W.

1 W = 0.001 kW

1 watts = 0.001 kilowatts

1 × 0.001 = 0.001

1 W equals 0.001 kW, so multiplying by 0.001 converts the value. The result describes the exact same quantity — only the measuring stick changes.
