Frequently asked questions
Are these tests accurate?
They use your browser's high-resolution timer and the same standard formulas the whole web uses (WPM as 5 characters per word, CPS as clicks ÷ seconds, reaction time in milliseconds, digit span for memory). Absolute numbers include your screen and input latency, so they are most useful for tracking yourself over time and comparing with friends.
Do I need an account or to install anything?
No. Every test runs instantly in your browser, with no sign-up and nothing to install. They even work offline once the page has loaded.
Is anything I do recorded or uploaded?
No. Your keystrokes, clicks and scores are processed on your own device and never sent to LazyTools or anyone else. These tests are private by design.
