How the mouse sensitivity converter works

Every game turns your view by a slightly different amount per mouse count, a value called yaw. To keep your muscle memory, you want the same real-world distance to turn you 360 degrees (your cm/360) in both games, at the same DPI. The conversion is newSens = oldSens × (oldGameYaw ÷ newGameYaw), because the DPI term cancels out. This tool stores the yaw for popular titles and does the arithmetic instantly in your browser, so your aim carries over.

This converts the in-game sensitivity value while keeping your mouse DPI the same. It covers games that use the standard yaw model (Source-engine titles, Valorant, Apex, Overwatch 2 and similar). Games with bespoke sensitivity systems, like Fortnite's percentage sliders or Rainbow Six Siege, do not map cleanly and are not listed. If you change DPI as well, adjust proportionally.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert sensitivity between games?

Match your cm/360 (the mouse distance for a full turn) at the same DPI. The formula is newSens = oldSens × oldGameYaw ÷ newGameYaw. This tool has the yaw values built in, so you just pick both games and enter your current sensitivity.

What is cm/360?

cm/360 is how many centimetres you move your mouse to turn a full 360 degrees in game. It is the truest measure of sensitivity because it is independent of DPI and in-game numbers, keeping it equal across games keeps your aim consistent.

Does DPI need to be the same?

This converter assumes you keep the same DPI and only change the in-game value, which is the usual case. If you also change DPI, scale the result by oldDPI ÷ newDPI to keep the same cm/360.

Why is Fortnite or Rainbow Six not listed?

Those games use non-standard sensitivity systems (percentage sliders, custom curves) that do not share the simple yaw model, so a clean one-number conversion is not possible. The listed games all use the standard model.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
